The End of TDL Guitars

Tony DeLacugo (TDL Guitars) makes some pretty cool basses and guitars.  I recently came across this post on his website…

“Announcement :

Aug.16, 2011. Well everyone, as much as it pains me to say this, my custom painting career is over. I’m 60 years old and after 40 years of painting I have become chemically sensitive. As a result I will absolutely not paint another guitar. I’m still kinda in shock. It’s hard to believe it’s over and it leaves me feeling a little sad.

Thank you to those of you who have supported me. Whether you had me paint your guitar, or bought one of my custom painted bodies, or bought one of my complete guitars or basses. I feel appreciative to all of you.

I have some complete guitars and basses from my own collection I built from 1993 to 1996 that I will be putting up for sale. Also, I only have a couple of Sparkle T bodies left. If you’ve ever wanted one, this may be your last opportunity to get one from the man himself.

Cheers to all and have a great day,

Tony DeLacugo”

The following are some amazingly beautiful basses…

Thanks to Tony for adding some colour to the bass world!  All the best to you in retirement.
