This bass guitar is a DiPintoBelvedere Deluxe Bass and is number two of two DiPintos owned by my friend Clint Wilson. The previous bass was pretty cool, but I really liked this one quite a bit. Although I’m a bit more conservative than this, I like the way this one’s been glammed up.
The Belvedere Standard looks the same as this one, but with more traditional finishing. This one is white on black with lots of silver glitter in the paint and has star inlays.
Despite all the flash, this bass guitar actually sounds a lot better than you may think. Even with its lower mid range price, it has a sound that is like a bass version of my Rickenbacker 330 guitar. (Both are semi-hollow bodied instruments.)
This bass has a mahogany body and a full 34″ scale. Both of these factors may help in getting a better sound that you might expect from a bass in this range.
A really cool bass, but I might go for the slightly less flashy Belvedere Standard bass.
Clint purchased both of his DiPintos at Surfside Music in White Rock BC
Like the previous DiPinto you can purchase both the deluxe and the standard from Amazon.com
